Susan G. Komen- Race for the Cure

October 13th, 2011

Walking for  a Cause

“Fifty-thousand walkers and runners took to the streets of downtown Denver decked out in pink regalia to honor, remember and celebrate those in their lives who are fighting or have fought breast cancer. This army of pink raised nearly $3 million for the care and treatment of themselves, their partners, sisters, daughters and friends suffering from this deadly disease. Among these 50,000 walkers and runners, were approximately 3000 breast cancer survivors and more than 1,160 teams. ”

Here at InLine Media, we are very focused on taking a proactive approach to our outside communities and the charities that are close to heart. Susan G. Komen is very special to us as we have worked closely with them in the advertising field, and we all have a tie to the cause in some way. In honor of my own grandmother, I chose to walk in the Race for the Cure. Being personally affected by the disease, it is a pleasure to donate my time and money to such an amazing cause. -CHRISSY

In efforts to continue our support, Nancy, our CEO, has been working closely with the Pink Tie Affair that takes place Saturday, November 12, 2011, beginning at 6 p.m. at The Sheraton Hotel Denver. Nancy is gathering her closest friends to donate wonderful items to auction off at the “Silent Auction.” We look forward to the event and will report on the outcome after!

St. Clares Ministries

October 13th, 2011

IF IT’S TUESDAY, INLINE MEDIA IS SERVING SUPPER  TO DENVER’S HOMELESS.

Every week, on a Tuesday, more than 100 men and women arrived at St. Peter and St Mary’s Church on  West 2nd Avenue in Denver. It is  possibly their only hot meal of the week, thanks to St. Clare’s Ministries and every fifth Tuesday volunteers from INLINE MEDIA.

St. Clare’s is also supported by more than 19 different churches and INLINE MEDIA, all whom provide volunteers for cooking, serving and cleanup for the Tuesday night supper. As the only business community’s volunteers for St. Clares, the staff at INLINE, the Rocky Mountain’s largest specialty media company, take their  every fifth  Tuesday night turn seriously. “I know they care about this program, I can  always count on them to be here. They are so wonderful and have such  energy – our people smile a little bigger when they come to serve”.

It has now been close to four years for the employees of INLINE MEDIA, volunteering at St. Clares. “Last year we had a St. Clare’s donation and happy hour function at the agency. Our clients and the media community came and donated, recalls Nancy  Haven, president. “It was a great success and I know that everyone felt really good about helping out. It is difficult to find time for community service , however St. Clare’s fifth Tuesday need was the right commitment for INLINE. We are also actively involved with our clients causes and their community outreach in many of the national markets that we serve.

Go Rapids!

May 23rd, 2011

In case you didn’t know, the Colorado Rapids are the current Major League Soccer Cup champions. And if you happened to be out at Mile High Marketplace last saturday, you probably got to meet one of the team’s star players, Conor Casey!

Not only is he super talented, but he’s also an incredibly nice guy who was happy to come out and sign autographs and soccer balls for the fans.

I even got to get my picture taken with him!

College Friday 2011

April 18th, 2011

College Friday is the day designated to raise awareness about the importance of higher education for Colorado’s youth. (http://www.collegeincolorado.org/)

Here at InLine Media- we all feel that higher education is deeply important and we support College Friday immensely. We have participated for many years and we plan to keep on with our participation to hopefully encourage young children, teens and adults to continue on in the educational field.

We encourage all to participate because it is so much fun. Plus it adds a new twist to CASUAL FRIDAY which we know EVERYONE waits for each week. Take a peak at our team in action on College Friday- and hopefully next year there will be many more participating!

2011 NCAA Bracket Results

April 13th, 2011

Well- the time has come to announce the results of the  2011 NCAA Bracket.

InLine Media had quite the competion going amongst one another. As Mark was upset instantly when Kentucky won in the first round, and Amy crossed her fingers as they went to the final four- but flopped at the end. Our office was in a mix of emotions as some followed daily, and others just simply did not care.

We were all highly surprised by ILM’s winners! Our final winner’s were surprisingly none of our die hard fans!  (#1) Meredith Rogers, our one and only Baileys MOM!  (#2) Ethan hernandez- Marks son was lucky to hit #2 in the bracket- although dad said he did not pay so we all still wonder if Ethan ever received his prize…hmmmmm….. and finally (#3) Amy pushed through as Ketucky went further than expected.

CONGRATS TO ALL OF OUR WINNERS!!!

As a newby here, I have yet to meet Susan Penta but I already

envy the awesome life she is living. Susan is currently on sobatical and is traveling the world. Her most recent trip was to the beautiful land of Costa Rica. She sent us an amazing post card and I have posted it for all to see.

Susan also has an awesome blog tracking her and her husbands where abouts and I find it to be extra entertaining to peak at to fulfil my dreams through her….. Take a look and get that little feeling we call jealousy………
